Please note the Broken Bone Care meal plan is not medicine nor a substitute to medicine. It is the right nutrition that supports the medication suggested by your vet. 

Dogs coping with a broken bone need a protein rich diet with healthy fats, carbohydrates and calcium to facilitate regrowth of the bone and connective tissues. 

NOM Pro Tip
Canine fractures need a minimum of four weeks in young puppies and eight weeks in adult dogs to heal sufficiently and eventually return to normal. In most cases, treatment for this issue includes dietary restrictions and medications.

Meal highlights

Balance of Phosphorus and Calcium
Phosphorus works with calcium to help rebuild bones. It is important to feed the right amount of both calcium and phosphorus for bone health as excessive amounts of it can be detrimental.

Low in Fat
Excess weight adds to the stress on the joints and slows down the healing process. A low fat diet helps the dog maintain its ideal body weight.

Storage & Shelf Life 
The meal packets are to be stored in the freezer at all times.
Each Meal is pre portioned, vacuum sealed and frozen to increase longevity.
When stored in the freezer, they last easily for 2 weeks.

Feeding Instructions

1. The food is fully cooked and ready-to-serve. No need to cook. Simply thaw and serve.
2. The meal packets are to be stored in the freezer at all times.
3. Do not microwave the packet. Empty the contents in a bowl to microwave. Cool and serve.
4. It takes 45 mins, if you were to naturally thaw it.
